Job Description


  • Standardization Crewman Instructor providing quality control oversight on all academic and practical instruction concerning technical material and tactical training activities within a Special Operations Battalion crewman training program.
    Performs frequent flight evaluations on all crewman instructors and crewmen during all modes of flight and environments. Required to develop, analyse and produce publications and syllabi for training purposes. Required to evaluate all training activities on aircraft with assigned crewman.

    Will also be responsible for:
    Primary advisory to the Commander for crewman training.
    • Manages the development and implementation of all academic and flight training programs that support the unit Aircrew Training Program for Crewmen.
    • Manages the development of lesson plans, training aids, study guides.
    • Conducts periodic academic and inflight evaluations. Monitors and evaluates all individual, collective and joint aviation training.
    • Provides guidance concerning all equipment testing and integration.
    • Responsible for standardization and quality control oversight of unit Individual Aircrew Training records and provides training for initiating and maintaining all records.
    • Conduct classroom instruction and informal instruction periods at the JAC level.
    • Assist in the development and updating of unit regulations, SOPs, Aircrew Training Manuals, and tactics, techniques, and procedures.
    • Performs continuation training during all training and tasked supported missions.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours as required by the JAC Commander on assigned tasks.
    • Prepares and briefs a long range training plan to higher command.

QUALIFICATION

High School Graduate or Bachelor in Business Administration.
Qualified on one of the following CH47D/E/F/G or UH60 A/L/K/M Model
Certified crewman instructor from a recognized school/ institute. (U.S. Army, British Air Force)

 Proficient application of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.

Should have a current FAA and/ or US Army Class II flight physical for initial application, then the ability to pass a UAE Military flight physical.

EXPERIENCE

  • Must have 6 years SOA crewman experience.

    Minimum 1500 hours flight experience with 500 night vision goggle hours.

    Minimum 3 years instructional experience.

    Combat experience preferred.

    M-134 or GAU 17 Instructor (technical & tactical) preferred.
