Job Description

The Strategic Buyer for Flying Procurement (South East Asia) is responsible in the frame of the Regional Procurement Office Asia Pacific to further develop the regional supply chain and to maximize opportunities to both increase Airbus competitiveness and Airbus presence in Asia Pacific.

The Strategic Buyer will work in close cooperation with the Procurement commodities and with the regional teams and will report to the Ho Flying Procurement for Asia Pacific (iPu Ho Regional Procurement Office).

Job Responsibilities

  • Map all existing supply chain activities in the respective Country / Subregion and current opportunities / RFI / RFP,
  • Map and assess further industrial capabilities and potential of aerospace supply chain in the respective Country / Subregion,
  • Work with Technology teams to scout new potential suppliers, new innovation projects or initiatives,  in the respective Country / Subregion to support Airbus competitiveness, presence and IC&O obligations
  • Put in place a development and sustainability strategy for the supply chain for the respective Country / Subregion in alignment with central Procurement commodities, anticipating next needed capabilities
  • Generate synthetic Country sourcing profiles for the respective Country / Subregion
  • Act as Supplier Relationship Manager for key suppliers as could be agreed with commodities:
    • Organize key meetings: SFM/Strategy Review Meeting/PRM
    • Delivery key reports: Executive Brief / Annual SED
    • Support financial report and offset review
  • Providing visibility and intelligence on Country / Region aerospace supply chain to various stakeholders including Procurement central commodities
  • Support locally Procurement central Commodities by performing dedicated delegated activities (eg enablement, cross program competitiveness support, …)
  • Develop activities to support Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Defense and Space.
  • Develop opportunities for growing Asia Local for Local together with teams of Regional Procurement Office China
  • Support alignment between Commodities strategies & Countries, supporting longer term supply chain development, market access and IC&O in alignment with central Procurement Commodities and in respect of the Procurement process

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the procurement field, preferably in the aviation industry.
  • Good knowledge of Contract
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Contract monitoring
  • Deep procurement processes knowledge
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Good presentation skills
  • Sense of rigor and analytical
