Job Description


This position is for Impact Dyanmics & Mounts Sub Section Manager in Advanced Technology Organization (ATO) section at Bangalore. This role will have responsibilities aligned with the Advanced Technology as well as the Advanced Design Tools organization with team members reporting in one of the two organizations. This role demonstrates accountability for functional and business objectives and is responsible for delivering on next gen technology and fielded products for GE Aviation. This role contributes to the overall business strategy, is involved in long term planning, manages complex issues within the functional areas of expertise.

  • Strengthen strategy for Impact dynamics, Mounts & associated Methods team to keep GE Aviation ahead of competition
  • Lead & mentor the team to effectively plan program deliverables & resources, execute on projects within agreed upon timelines and budget
  • Develop and own strategy for technology and team growth in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Responsible for hiring, employee differentiation, promotions, career coaching and compensation planning of the sub section
  • Own and drive Processes (Priorities, touch points, PD) for the team and facilitate career growth through coaching and career guidance.
  • Be accountable for accomplishing the business, technical, functional and financial objectives for the ATO Bangalore Organization
  • Build strong relationships with all local and global stakeholders (US Section Manager, US Sub-Section Managers, Controlled Title holders, Leaders at Aviation global sites)
  • Remain cognizant of state-of-the-art technologies in the relevant technical domain and promote the application of same in the team
  • Partner with Section Manager for Session C, T, and S2 processes
  • Drive a compliance and quality culture within the organization
  • Drive a lean mindset & commit to inclusion and diversity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design/analysis teams
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Aerospace/Turbomachinery design
  • Effective communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to empower and inspire the team
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across global sites
  • Proven track record of strong teamwork
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
