Job Description

In addition to the fleet of KLM and Air France, KLM E&M and AFI maintain the aircraft, engines and components of approximately 150 customers worldwide. KLM E&M's organization is based on the Components, Engines and Airframe product groups.

The Airframe unit focuses on planning and executing maintenance on aircraft with a guaranteed service level and at competitive costs, whereby (flight) safety, quality and continuity of the fleet are of paramount importance. Within the Airframe unit, all activities relating to the management and availability of materials, equipment and facilities are housed in one Materials, Equipment & Facility Management department. Within this department, the Material Supply Chain Team ensures the availability of materials that are necessary for carrying out maintenance on the aircraft.

What are you going to do?

In this challenging position you are the expert in the field of the Supply Chain. You ensure the timely availability of all materials required for aircraft maintenance. You look for the optimal stock level so that you maximize the availability of materials and minimize costs. You consult with the purchasing department about existing contracts and provide the specifications relevant to the Supply Chain for new contracts to be concluded with suppliers. You make analyzes of the logistics performance of suppliers and discuss these with that supplier. You provide reports that provide insight into the performance of the logistics chain. You look for innovations in the Supply Chain to improve continuous processes and IT support with the aim of optimizing logistics performance. You manage various players in the logistics chain. You act as project leader in projects to continuously improve the supply chain of Airframe.

You will end up in Hangar 11, in the Engineering & Maintenance area at Schiphol-East

 

Your profile

You are analytically very strong and you can easily manage large amounts of data. You know how to convince people based on data and empathy. You are a process improver and like to gain insight through various IT tools.

You will also bring the following:

 

  • Minimum HBO work and thinking level in the direction of logistics (preferably Bachelor/Master Degree Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge of the logistics processes within KLM Engineering & Maintenance.
  • Insight into the interrelationship of logistics processes within KLM.
  • Experience with complex analyzes and project work.
  • Affinity with performance and financial management (including performance reporting)
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing
  • MS Office and by name MS Excel has no secrets for you. You can quickly familiarize yourself with working with SAP and SAP Business Intelligence. Experience with Tibco Spotfire and building reports is a plus.
