Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that all major aircraft components being stored in the supply warehouse meet all requirements of the OEM inspection specifications. To coordinate and ensure all necessary programs are in place to operate in strict accordance with inspection procedures manuals to include but not limited to: Certificate of Compliance, Storage inspections, Technical Bulletins, Shelf Life, environment conditions, TMDE calibrations, parts handling, receiving and issuing.

Will also be responsible for:

• Responsible for the proper oversight of the aircraft major components within the storage facility.
• Responsible for monitoring all the major components in storage for historical record updates, component TBO, overhaul, retirement or shelf life schedule and assure applicable storage inspections are being performed as per OEM’s Tech Manuals.
• Performs and assists suppliers in the Inspections of aircraft parts/ components and materials in accordance with proper procedures, methods, practices operations and safety. Ensures that the workmanship and materials conform to the aircraft manufacturers specifications and required maintenance manual procedures. Initiates process to Quarantine non-conforming parts and items.
• Researches technical data and performs AVUM/ AVIM maintenance level inspections on stored components. Completes inspections in accordance with applicable aircraft/component maintenance directives.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate execution of all Maintenance Action Messages applicable to aircraft components in storage.
• Logs inspections performed on stored aircraft components.
• Performs/ assists facility internal/ external audits for safety and policy compliance.
• Bring to the attention of the Quality & Engineering Manager any irregularities performed in the daily standard practices, which could cause injury to personnel or damage to aircraft parts.
• Authorize scrap procedures for warehouse inventory items.
• Monitors storage life limits for POL items.

QUALIFICATION

•  -FAA A&P license or foreign nation equivalent.
• -High School Diploma required, AS / AA degree in aviation related studies preferred.
• -Qualified Safety Representative preferred.

EXPERIENCE

•  -Minimum of two years’ experience as a Technical Inspector or Civil Aviation Licensed Aircraft Engineer preferred.
• -Aviation Logistics experience preferred.
• -Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience preferred.
• -Minimum of 7 years of Aviation Unit/ Intermediate Maintenance.
• -Extensive TAMMS-A experience preferred.
