Job Description


  • Participate in all the technical discussions (Design for manufacturing &related) to make a detailed project scope in terms of technical and manufacturing requirements.
  • Work with sourcing & manufacturing engineers and other internal stakeholders with respect to understanding the manufacturing requirements & support supplier development team to find new suppliers.
  • You will ensure that all the RFQs are effectively assessed, understood and clarified from the manufacturing point of view (Design for manufacturing)with the customers so that Sourcing & Manufacturing teams can meet the technical requirements of the projects, on time as per the customer’s needs.
  • To participate in all the technical discussions with the customer and the suppliers along with the Sales, Sourcing & Manufacturing teams.
  • To build the technical capability of the teams by taking regular online/offline training.
  • Non-conformance resolution with customers/suppliers along with the Sales, Sourcing & Manufacturing teams.

Continuous improvement – in addition to the activities, you will:

  1. Collaborate with the Sourcing & supplier development teams to strengthen the network of Suppliers, including technical discussions & understanding the capability.
  2. Benchmark best practices and leverage lessons learned in multiple projects with’s customers/suppliers
  • Create technical reports when issues are discovered and jointly work for correction and corrective action with the Manufacturing & Quality team till the closure of the same.
  • Develop and manage strong strategic relationships with our key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for making SOPs, monthly & yearly MIS.
  • Knowledge management, documentation of case studies and knowledge transfer.
  • Accountable for data management, reporting & analysis.
  • Participate in all project reviews and meetings related to the project issues

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Production/Automotive/Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of industry experience with hands-on experience in the area of Machining (CNC & Conventional).
  • A Master’s degree in Manufacturing/CAD-CAM would be an advantage
  • Experience in Sheet Metal, Casting & Forging etc. would be an added advantage
  • Must have - strong knowledge of CNC machines (types, tools, setups, operational knowledge, selection, manufacturing application)
  • Must have - strong knowledge of post-processing operations (Anodizing (Hard/Soft), zinc plating, powder coating, ENP, painting, media blasting etc.(this can be mentioned in drawings too.) Color, Texture, Finish) and Surface treatment (flame e, induction hardening, carburizing, nitriding etc. (this can be mentioned in drawing too)
  • Knowledge of alternate materials (not based on IS standards) and a good supplier network.
  • Basic technical knowledge of engineering design, experience with CAD software (AutoCAD - Mandatory, CATIA & Solidworks would be an added advantage).
  • Experience in managing projects, working with multiple stakeholders to ensure delivery as per the scope.
  • Comfortably work through ambiguity.
  • Location: Mumbai (Ready to relocate as per the business requirement)
  • Immediate joining or Max notice period of 1 month with an option of a buyout
