Job Description

The jobholder is responsible for managing a group of Flight Training Operations The jobholder shall be responsible for supervising a team comprising Flight Training Operations Managers (FTOM) and Training Support Administrators (TSA), delivering optimum training course scheduling. Establish a deep and confident relationship with assigned customers, and a synergies within the training community including driving sales and business development. Monitor and manage workload for available training assets including Full Flight Simulators (FFS). Act as the key interface between Business (Training) Operations, Maintenance, and Training departments to optimize FFS, maintenance and instructors schedules, as well as AATC representative to regional aviation authorities and airline training managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, prepare and submit monthly FFS activity (usage)
  • Plan and forecast FFS workload
  • Conduct monthly meetings with key customers
  • Coordinate with Airbus Central on training needs and instructor requirements
  • Manage a team of FTOMs & TSA to deliver optimum planning and scheduling of all flight training courses, instructors’ assignments and internal training requests
  • Ensure all training requests are properly scheduled within stipulated time frame
  • Supervise pre-training survey validation, technical grading sheets and records
  • Regularly update Training Operations documentation per schedule
  • Participate in meetings to understand and deliver customer training requests
  • Supervise all functions throughout the entire phase of customer courses (from validation of trainee qualifications to systematically archiving folders)
  • Responsible to coordinate with other departments (Quality, Training, Maintenance, Customer Experience and Commercial Sales) on Pre-Course Training (PCM) matters
  • System administrator for Scheduling, Planning and commercial request software tools and coordination with Airbus Central on technical issues
  • Deliver FFS activity forecast and contribute to AOP for mid to long-term (6-12 months, 2-5 years)
  • Deliver on team and individual training and development plans
  • Ensure compliance to Airbus Affiliate Governance.
  • Support periodic visits as tasked by the Head Business Operations
  • Compliance to Airbus Training Policy and process
