Job Description

The Jobholder, as a member of the Flight Hour Services (FHS) entity, reports to the Engineering Manager for Singapore Airlines. The Jobholder is responsible for the delivery and performance activities provided to the SIA A380 fleet and provides operational support to the engineering activities to the SCOOT A320 Family fleet.

In his/her function, the job holder, based in Singapore, is responsible for maintaining for maintaining SIA A380 and SCOOT A320 Family fleet to the highest Operational Reliability and Aircraft On-Time Performance (AOTP) in line with airworthiness requirements EASA and CAAS and in accordance with Airbus Technical Standards and FHS Financial interests on his/her relevant scope of activity.

Job Responsibilities

• Setting up and oversight the delivery and performance of the Reliability Improvement Committee (RIC).  : align committee stakeholders (SIATS, Airbus SB program,  FHS-TSP members, and Tech. Data department) on the TOP10 technical issues to be addressed and prioritized to improve aircrafts operations and performance: it therefore addresses any aircraft topic, including FHS and non-FHS Components (Airframe or Engine related if impacting operations).
• The gathering,  follow-up and trends monitoring of all actions identified as part of the RIC after identification of top critical items,
• The management of the RIC items performance and their regular renewal by identifying new candidates to submit to the committee,
• The definition/update/support of the RIC presentation material , the corresponding RIC Items indicators ( TTGF, Delays, Removals etc)   and any other reporting tool dedicated to the activity,
• The communication and regular reporting of RIC items technical updates a towards SIA Tech Services VP and SIA Engineering Senior Management (DVP/SVP)
• The scheduling and management of the RIC meeting (monthly) and RIC Management Meetings (yearly)
• Manage functionally the A380 RIC Technical Coordinator activities and priorities to integrate inputs from the Aircraft Operations into the global reliability improvement strategy.
• Liaise with the Fleet Health Monitoring and Base maintenance engineers to ensure RIC is continuously targeting the right focus with reactivity
• Conduct the reliability study & fleet performance trend analysis through a structured and consolidated data collection, and develop innovating processes.
• Integrates reliability experience from the Tech Data department to strengthen global TSP engineering reliability assessment and proactively identify potential risk.
• Establish a strong “Services by Airbus” image by supporting the whole engineering organization for continuous improvement of  the A380 fleet performance reliability in front of the customer

Secondary Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance program clock stoppage supporting planning department
• Focal point with Airbus SEM for AMPES implementation and task threshold  management during parking and storage phase
• Ensure business transformation by adopting industry best practices, deploy continuous improvement as well as LEAN practices,
• Ensure the readiness of aircraft for RTS (package preparation) by following P&S task force inputs and TSP RoE.

Job Requirement

• Minimum degree holder in Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Airline/MRO, in an engineering position
• Great organizational skills, flexibility managing multiple priorities, working to changing deadline and attention to details
• Ability to work under stress

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to federate a team
• Maintenance environment experience is a strong positive
• Project/continuous improvement skills
