Job Description

The job holder will be mainly in charged to provide expertise in design engineering, production, and maintenance, in particular in the area of avionics and/or software in support of all tasks of the Airbus UTM Lab. 

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualizing avionics, systems, and associated avionics software architecture and designs to meet the requirements of assigned project(s).
• Generating technical data, maintainability concepts, and technical publications as necessary for the assigned project(s).
• Providing data and conducting tests or analysis as required by compliance verification engineers to show the compliance of designs to the relevant airworthiness authorities.
• Carrying-out and/or lead UAS production and depot-level maintenance as assigned.
• Participating in the administration, management and training of assistant design engineers where required.

Requirements

• University Degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Aerospace Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering fields
• Experience in aircraft/modification certification and continued airworthiness
• Proficient hand-skills in avionics, instruments, and electrical systems production and repair
• Experience in Compliance Verification and failure analysis methods
• Capability of presenting, justifying, negotiating, and writing technical substantiations and instructions in English.
• 3D/2D Computer Aided Design Skills
• Knowledge and Capability in programming and program debugging, including but not limited to C/C++ and coding for Raspberry Pi / Arduino / mobile applications.
