Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform engine receive in borescope inspection, engine pre delivery borescope inspection in accordance with the current technical data.
  • Perform borescope inspection on engine modules and associate parts.
  • Furnish borescope report and complete documentation after completion of task. 
  • Execute borescope processes by applying the current approved technical data and standard work processes.
  • Carry out Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) on borescope equipment.
  • Solve technical issues and problems as appropriate when encounter during daily activities.
  • Actively support and participate in Continuous Improvement, Environment Health & Safety (EH&S) and Quality projects and initiatives  
  • Execute the level 3 operation procedures within the department.
  • Comply and adhere to code of ethics as well as EH&S regulations, standards, requirements and procedures
  • Assist the Operations Leader/ Assistant Foremen/ Cell Leaders in their day-to-day operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals and discipline.
  • Carry out SAP transaction.
  • Perform cross-functional jobs within the department if required.
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Completed borescope theory and on the job training.
  • Must hold a valid certificate in engine borescope inspection.
  • Have at least 2 years maintenance experience in engine borescope inspection.
  • Have at least 4 years maintenance experience – preferably Part 145
  • Possess Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance/Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical Technology/ Mechatronics or any other relevant courses.
  • Competent in the suite of MS Office Software (Words, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in aircraft engine workshop operations procedures will be advantageous.
  • Good analytical skills, able to grasp concepts, track and resolve issues quickly.
  • Strong support and participation in CORE, continuous improvement, RRCA and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Good team player
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently, multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Solumina will be an added advantage.
  • Trained and capable to use G.E. Mentor (BSI equipment) will be an added advantage.
  • Capable of bore blend with appropriate training certificate and experience will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in PW4000 and PW1100 engine model and completed engine type course will be an added advantage.
