Job Description

To lead large and highly complex of engine turbine repair or overhaul inclusive of troublesooting (both on or off wing), disassembly, cleaning, inspection & NDI, machining, assembly, testing, and preservation tasks conducted in the process of approving for return to service any aircraft, engine, module, accessory or part for which the repair station is rated, according to their ability and certification to perform such work, following all health and safety practices and requirements. Carries out directives from the Supervisor in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

Perform O, I and D Level when its applicable.

Will also be responsible for:

• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
• Responsible for the daily Test Cell assignment in the platform.
• Conducts necessary troubleshooting and/or repair (either on or off wing) on turbine engines.
• Disassembly and assembly of various models of turbine engines according to sequence utilizing aircraft tools, balance machines, surface grinders, drill presses, and other equipment for repair and/or overhaul.
• Receives engine parts to conduct inspections using precision measuring tools in order to detect physical defects such as cracks, burns, foreign object damages, proper screws and structure deviations.
• Evaluates engine parts to determine which parts are repairable or unrepairable; refers to micrometers and other precision-measurement tests to determine further routing to other destinations or to scrap parts.
• Ensure to utilizes applicable database system in order to retrieve information regarding parts inventory, manufacturing models, serial numbers, and/or other pertinent information to ensure proper documentation.
• Ensure to refers to technical publications, specification sheets and/or other regulatory requirements in order to ensure that all tasks have been completed in proper sequence and required signed-off.
• Perform on and off equipment inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Participate in and lead safety, quality, and CI initiatives outside the normal scope of their responsibility
• Coordinate the hourly inspection workforce and coordinate with needed support personnel.
• Comply with producability issues of the programs and provide input and suggestions to produce a quality product.
• Comply with required maintenance on survival equipment.
• Ensure avialibility of equipment and supplies.
• Performs collateral duty inspections and collateral duty quality assurance inspections as required.
• Maintains cleanliness of work center.
• Assure work carried out has been completed in accordance with the relevant approved Technical Data.
• Act as a technical expert of test cell technician’s team in addressing complex test cell maintenance issues by illustrating the right procedure to address the issues to ensure quality maintenance and repair operations.
• Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

QUALIFICATION

• Technical diploma or skill level 7 or 9 certified in respective trade, QC or Traing the Trainer.
• Military aircraft experience letter or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience within maintenance operations area at an Airbase.
• Knowledge of aircraft launching and recovering processes
• Knowledge of basic maintenance processes and procedures
• Understanding of aircraft structure, components, trublleshooting, wiring system and functions..etc.
