Job Description

Educational Qualifications         

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Technology or related field
  • OR Two years college Diploma in the related field with 02 years of relevant work experience

Skills/Knowledge           

  • Proficient in English (Spoken & Written)
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems.
  • Strong understanding of MS Exchange, 3rd party applications, including but not limited to instant messaging, Blackberry, archiving, automated faxing, encryption and mail routing.
  • Able to configure, maintain and troubleshoot variety of email services like Blackberry, OCS, email archiving or email encryption.
  • Should be able to support email access from other OS such as Android, iOS etc.
  • Knowledge and understanding of SPAM and email law applicable within the region of Oman Air operations.
  • Basic understanding of certificate service (Windows PKI)
  • Configure, install, manage, troubleshoot and provide day to day support, administration and maintenance for the messaging infrastructure for entire Oman Air network within the guidelines and policies set and followed by the company.
  • Manage end-to-end daily operational implementation for email services for all employees throughout the network
  • Resolve email delivery issues and troubleshoot issues with least turnaround time and maximum efficiency
  • Maximise inbox delivery while minimising spam reports, monitoring email sends for bounce rates and blocks
  • Maximising email deployments at a high level of efficiency and accuracy
  • Occasionally on-call and off-hour support may be needed to resolve email administration and usage issues.
  • Assist desktop support team for escalated issues to fix users e-mail related issues which may include outlook trouble shooting, rule creation, mail delivery issues, block spam senders…etc
  • Outlook user accounts configurations and trouble shooting for different protocols which may include, MAPI, POP and IMAP.
  • Handle users email forwarding request for internal and external addresses.
  • Non Delivery Reports trouble shooting.
  • Address lists creation, deletion….etc
  • Dynamic groups creation and troubleshooting.
  • Develop periodic reports for Messaging infrastructure as per requirement from management.
  • Health check of exchange servers which may include disk spaces verification, log truncation, backups successful completion, Exchange server role specific services are running and working properly.
  • Periodic check E-mail domain health for black listing.
  • Manage and monitor email backup and archival processes
  • Ensure integrity and security of email system
  • Carry out any other duties directed by management
