Job Description


Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Computer Engineering with emphasis on control systems and control theory
  • 7-10 years of experience working with multi-discipline teams
  • Understanding of control theory concepts and components, such as closed-loop control, sensors, actuators, feedback, signal conditioning, failure detection, microcontrollers, processor scheduling and timing, data analysis techniques, and testing methods.
  • Experience in object-oriented software development languages like C / C ++/Ada
  • General aptitude for Programming
  • Knowledge of DO-178B/C and/or ARP4754 guidelines
  • Knowledge of toolsets such as IBM DOORS, VectorCAST or LDRA or similar Verification Tools, MATLAB/Simulink, SCADE, NPSS.
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Methodologies – Scrum, Sprints, TDD
  • Ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing
  • Motivated to learn and to be productive

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with colleagues to Design, testing, verification, and validation of control system software for Wind Turbine Controls or Industrial Controls.
  • Design control logic to meet system requirements using proprietary software design tools
  • Develop and execute test cases in a simulation environment, analyze and present data, validate control functionality, and document results.
  • Identify anomalous control system behavior.
  • Responsible for the analysis of software requirements, working in collaboration with the project engineer and the system engineer.
  • Support in evaluating the impact of change requests
  • Track developments and day-to-day development of local & global teams
  • Responsible for raising risks and measuring the performance of all activities related to the solution delivered
  • Acts as prime technical resource for the project
