JOB SCOPE :

The Airfield and Terminal Controller is responsible to maintain the airport operations efficiency through use of the airport resources and allocations, and minimizing the impact of delays and disruptions to passengers & aircraft operations. The Airfield and Terminal Controller operates the 24/7 coordination and communications tasks in the Airport Operations Control Center receiving all day to day operation related events as well as performing the emergencies and incidents coordination. The role acts as the first point of contact for all airport stakeholders to coordinate events, perform response and to handle disruptions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

•Monitor data flow through system interfaces with the AODB in order to manage and/or correct On/Off – Block times from the ADS (Aircraft Docking System)
•Monitor the influence of flight data changes to the allocation of resources in order to perform dynamic changes based on operational requirements
•Take necessary measures to proactively plan resources allocation to ensure alignment with flight operations and schedules
•Monitor the technical availability of allocated resources and perform changes where required
•Internally coordinate changes to the resources allocation with the other internal AOC roles in order to achieve efficient use of resources
•Communicate effectively the changes and continually monitor the progress of flights and passengers operations
•Monitor the effectiveness of the allocation plan in order to improve operational productivity
•Monitor the flight information and AODB to ensure accuracy and completion of the data
•Undertake allocation in pre-planning, shift planning and real time to ensure all operational requirements are met in a timely manner.
•Act as a focal point of contact for Airfield & Terminal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :

•Bachelor’s degree in Airport or Aviation Management
•Coordinating incidents/emergencies
•Familiar with emergency protocols
•Managing multiple communications across multiple stakeholders
•Computer skills
•Demonstrated good skills in communication in Arabic and English (verbally and in writing)
•Report writing and documentation
