JOB SCOPE :
To carry out on ground activities related to airfield operations as assigned by the Senior Airfield Duty Officer(s) to ensure safety and compliance with the Company’s guidelines and related regulations
ACCOUNTABILITIES :
•Assist the Senior Airfield Duty Officer on daily operational requirements and traffic management to ensure airfield operations are facilitated
•Assist the Senior Airfield Duty Officer to enforce airside rules to ensure all activities at the airfield is in compliance with applicable rules and regulations
•Check airside facilities and systems regularly to ensure functionality at all times
•Carry out marshaling services as and when required
•Carry out “follow me” services as and when required to support on ground activities at the airfield
•Assist in the VVIP/VIP and nonscheduled movements, as assigned, to ensure minimal disruptions in airfield operations
•Assist/facilitate efficiency on the apron and guidance for stand allocation to MCC
•Assist the Senior Airfield Duty Officer in responding to emergencies and irregularities as required to ensure smooth operations
•Assist the Senior Airfield Duty Officer in measuring runway friction coefficient to ensure runways have reasonable surface friction characteristics for braking efficiency
•Log all incidences / breaches to ensure Senior Airside Duty Officers are kept informed
•Assist Senior Airfield Duty Officers in maintaining operational continuity during emergencies to prevent disruptions to operational processes
•Carry out coordination of airside vehicle traffic whenever necessary to support operational requirements
•Take appropriate measures to conduct and control the low visibility procedures on the apron
•Assist Senior Airfield Duty Manager and the ADP / AVP Officer as and when required to confiscate and / or cancel ADPs/AVPs to ensure airside safety is maintained at all times
•Assist Senior Airfield Duty Officer to monitor implementation of NOTAMs
•Carry out housekeeping and other maintenance work to ensure airside is always kept clean .
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :
•Bachelor’s degree in Airport or Operations Management
•Valid Driving License
