Network Planning

Our many flights need to be planned to perfection. The Network Planning teams design our schedules and routes to connect travelers with their destinations

Job overview and responsibilities

The Analyst role is responsible for delivering end to end analytical results as a part of the team as well as in individual capacity with minimal guidance. The role requires strategic thinking, strong work ethics and passion for data and analytics with the willingness to dig deep into details. Being organized, disciplined and dedicated towards consistently generating high quality outputs are the keys to success in this role.

  • Analyze financial performance of United’s schedule and make recommendations to improve margins
  • Help develop strategic plans for maximizing long term margin potential for the network
  • Analyze fleet deployment to maximize revenue and minimize costs
  • Own assigned analysis and generate high quality solutions
  • Help the team continuously develop and demonstrate improved analysis methodologies
  • Create and develop presentations for United leadership and external stakeholders    
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on the profitability of United Airlines route network and fleet

This position is offered on local terms and conditions.  Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Computer science
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics
  • SQL, Hive, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Master's degree
  • Degree in Statistics and Engineering
  • Python, Spark
