Job Description

Job overview and responsibilities

Authors and edits manuals and/or maintenance task cards used to accomplish scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Manages inbound workflow, prioritizes assignments and tracks projects to production to support the needs of the Technical Operations organization. Authors technical documents in accordance with United Airlines policy.  Engages in basic problem solving to ensure technical compliance. Interfaces with Aircraft Maintenance, Maintenance Programs and Engineering providing effective communication to manage workload in accordance with business requirements.       

Supports creation of technical documents to perform aircraft maintenance

Incorporates technical document updates driven by aircraft manual revisions, field requests, maintenance program changes and engineering customization

Develops and maintains working relationships with Maintenance Programs, Maintenance Planning, Engineering and Quality Assurance in order to provide workable and compliant data to the Tech Ops organization

Performs audit activities to ensure technical data is up-to-date and aligned across multiple platforms

Required

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field

Minimum of 2- 3 years experience of technical writing and utilizing technical document workflows

Knowledge of technical documentation procedures and controls

XML Authoring

Ability to work several projects simultaneously and ability to track projects to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship

Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
