Summary / Role Purpose

The engineer shall be proactively engaging with the group of targeted customers to understand their simulation driven product development goals and workflow and provide them with customized support and service to support significant impact on software revenue. This role shall provide technical pre-sales support throughout the entire sales process along with training to customers. A key element of this role is to develop customer-specific simulation engineering workflow by tool chaining Ansys products as well as third-party products.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead/Assist in coordinating and executing all MBSE & Engineering workflow development activities throughout the sales opportunity such as customer meetings and product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Create and demonstrate Process Integration and Design Optimization workflows by tool chaining Ansys products as well as third party products.
  • Work with different industries segments to create Reference Implementation of Digital Thread Engineering workflow from Stakeholder needs all the way to prognostics in field operation.
  • Ability to create different fidelity solutions across different tools and their interconnection.
  • Participate in internal corporate initiatives to further enhance the solution suites, presales/sales enablement and professional growth; actively participate in the development and mentoring of team members.
  • Participate and present ANSYS simulation solution suites for different applications and publish papers in Technical events.
  • Responsible for articulating ANSYS’ value proposition which may encompass its entire suite of products; the presentations must affirm the sales message, differentiate ANSYS, and leave a strong and positive impression to audiences which can include senior company executives.
  • Instruct intermediate and/or advanced training classes on the usage of ANSYS products to improve customers’ productivity and satisfaction with ANSYS simulation products.

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace engineering or other technical disciplines
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering software environment.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills, ability to understand engineering processes and tools to architect System Engineering workflows.  
  • Must have hands-on experience in at least one Scripting language like C#/Java, Python, VBScript, etc.
  • Must have strong knowledge of at least one PIDO tools like optiSLang, ModelCenter.. etc.
  • Must have good understanding of System engineering and workflows.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant ANSYS software or knowledge of other commercial CAE software packages in solving industry-level problems.
  • Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers.
  • Possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow-up skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • MS/MTech degree preferred.
  • Experience with Fluid/Structural/Electronics simulation background will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of enterprise tools like CAE, PLM or ERP is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of system architecture authoring tools using SysML language will be an advantage.
  • Experience on the use of CAD software is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
