Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Technical Operations Reliability team ensures United operates safely and dependably by analyzing aircraft defects and operational disruptions. The team monitors trends to notify maintenance and engineering teams of emerging issues and probable corrective actions. The Associate Analyst will aim to provide accurate information and useful insights to help multiple divisions make better data-driven decisions.

  • Provide accurate and useful data on time including, but not limited to, identifying ATA codes for tech ops interruptions, identifying component/ condition/ other details for system failures, identifying top system failures, supporting fleet reliability meetings
  • Regulatory reporting and operational support, including dispositioning chronic items
  • Tracking fleet trends and highlighting potential issues by performing operational drill-downs
  • Supporting ongoing reliability/fleet initiatives, ad-hoc requests and reporting needs

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Required

  • Bachelors degree in aeronautical engineering, aircraft maintenance, other engineering or related disciplines
  • 0 months - 2 years of experience in aviation, or related fields
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems
  • Superior attention to accuracy and detail
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred

  • Knowledge of aircraft fleet health and/or reliability programs
  • Familiarity with using database querying tools, such as SQL, and data visualization/ reporting tools
