Position Overview:

Boeing Security and Fire Protection team is currently looking for Associate Contract Security Specialist to join their team in BIETC Campus, Bangalore, India.

The Contract Security Specialist will report to the Security and Fire Protection (S&FP) Site Security Manager at the Boeing India Engineering and Technical Center (BIETC) Campus, Bangalore, India.  The Contract Security Specialist will coordinate, manage, and provide oversight of the on-site daily operational activity of all contracted security services, to ensure the physical protection of Boeing’s people, property, and information at the BIETC Campus.   The term “contracted security services” includes the use of specialist canine (K9) services.

Position Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Under direction of the S&FP Site Security Manager, manage and oversee all routine contracted security services and operations at the BIETC Campus
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert input and support to the identification and selection of contracted security vendors and services at the Campus by the International Supply Chain and other stakeholders. This includes the setting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all such contracted security services.
  • Produce and develop all relevant policies, plans, and procedures related to contracted security services and associated routine operations at the Campus.
  • Conduct the quality control of contracted security services through the monitoring of KPIs, by planned and ad hoc inspections of contracted vendors and their operations on Campus, and by routine oversight of operations, training, and administration
  • Respond to routine and emergency incidents in accordance with site security and emergency plans and procedures, and in coordination with the Security Operations Centre and Campus Incident Management organization as necessary
  • Establish and maintain relationships with national and local government organizations, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to ensure compliance with all relevant Government of India laws and regulations, and to promote the adoption of security industry best practices
  • Coordinate with the wider International and US-based S&FP organization to ensure alignment and compliance with applicable Enterprise contracted security and K9 policies, procedures, and standards, including reporting requirements
  • Liaise with sites immediately adjacent to the BIETC Campus to ensure the coordination of routine security operations that may impact, or be affected by, areas outside the Campus perimeter
  • On a daily and/or as needs basis, conduct the following activities:
    • Review and monitor Access Control plans and associated daily activity
    • Provide Employee Security awareness and training on a periodic basis
    • Ensure data protection in compliance with Boeing Information Protection guidelines
    • Conduct Security Risk Assessments
    • Ensure on-site asset protection
    • Assist with Global Trade Control compliance as directed
    • Provide input to site Emergency Preparedness plans, policies, and procedures
    • Interact with, and provide support to, the Security Operations Centre and Emergency Operations Centre
    • Provide support to Investigations as required
    • Participate in security projects as directed
    • Conduct security technology evaluations as directed
    • Provide security support to events at the Campus or other company locations in Bangalore as required
    • Conduct After Action Reviews and follow up through Lessons Identified and Learned Processes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • An experienced security professional with 5+ years of security related work experience
  • Prior practical experience of managing contracted security services at a large site, such as an industrial or manufacturing center, University Campus, Hospital, Airport, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of K9 services, including operations, training and administration
  • Languages – Fluent in Hindi and English (essential) and Kannada (desirable)
  • Proficient in producing written plans and an effective and a confident and effective communicator
  • Proven practical success in managing or leading routine security operations, including response to incidents
  • Prior experience of security risk management processes and techniques
  • Prior experience of networking with industry peers for best practice benchmarking and through membership of organizations such as ASIS, ACSG, OSAC, etc.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the BIETC Campus.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Prefer 5+ years of security related work experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Typically, 5-8 years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (eg. bachelor, master, etc) preferred but not required.
