Job Summary

This requirement is for Technical Administration resources who would work entirely in GKN Aerospace SAP/R3 environment to support Change Management activities. The primary job responsibility would be to input data from a variety of sources into a computer database, after selecting the correct procedure to deal with each piece of information. The resources would be required to prioritize and organize the information into batches for data entry, and interact with the system administrator based on need.

Participate in operational and development Programs to enable and deliver zero defect projects utilizing engineering and problem solving skills. Implement robust, capable practices to achieve On Time Delivery (OTD) and First Time Right (FTR).

Job Responsibilities

      General

  • Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring compliance with the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards.
  • Creates technical solutions to problems associated with change management on GKN products.
  • Utilize root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
  • Maintain positive, team relationships with internal customers and co-workers
  • Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives.
  • Monitor and support change management activities in handling of standards and configuration.
  • Initiate the change process, follow with process stakeholders and ensure timely closure of the process.
  • Responsible for Configuration Control and Specifications within Manufacturing Engineering.
  • To perform consequence assessment work involving identification and summarization of editorial/content changes in technical documents and informing concerned stakeholders including the respective document responsible person at Sweden who can start making assessments.

     The person will have the responsibility of maintaining the same in our SAP/R3 production system.

     Actively participate in the implementation, execution and adherence to product configuration management processes through:

  • Preparing configuration documentations and maintaining the data quality, integrity and security of Configuration Management (CM) database.
  • Deploy CM standard and recommend enhancements to existing CM processes through deployment of Lean initiatives and global collaboration with other CM teams.
  • Support audits on CM database and analyse configuration issues. Implement appropriate resolutions to audit findings and configuration issues

Job Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Capability for high volume data entry
  • Strict attention to detail and ability to process data accurately and efficiently
  • Good English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Ability to understand processes/sub-processes/stakeholders involved at each step
  • Knowledge of technical material (like Bill of Materials, Drawing/Part revisions, etc.) will be an added advantage.
  • Good Understanding to Aerospace industry standards preferred.

Desirable:

  • ~2 years of experience with an organization involved in engineering domain.
  • Good communication skills in English both oral and written.
  • Self-driven individual who can expand his/her skills with on-job training.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
