Project Description:

  • Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center [BIETC] is based in Bangalore, India and is engaged in the development of advanced aerospace and aviation technologies.
  • We have an immediate opening for an Associate Project Management specialist. This position will be assigned to the Information Technology & Data Analytics, Global Information Technology group in Boeing India.
  • This position provides a tremendous opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to the transformation of Boeing's Key operations.
  • Project managers on this team will be responsible for delivering business process, information/data models and services, building the team metrics, configuration and build of information technology solutions leveraging commercial-off the shelf software with global teams of IT.

Primary Responsibilities:

As an Associate IT Project Management Specialist, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Implementation of Program Management Best Practices. Includes developing and executing integrated plans, policies and issues, and opportunities and mitigation.
  • Provide project execution ensuring completion of program phases and maintains accountability for overall program health, maintaining situational awareness and taking appropriate action to ensure successful projects.
  • Proficient in Project Management theory, concepts and principles. Generate project scope, schedule and budget baselines based on an understanding of the business process development and system development lifecycle.
  • Implements plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved. Monitors appropriate metrics to ensure performance to plan.
  • Provides project execution ensuring completion of program phases and coordination and analysis of program/project metrics, maintaining accountability for overall program/project health.
  • Proactively communicates with peers and partners throughout Boeing, including supplier partners. Keep others informed by communicating project status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations and listening to others concerns and suggestions.
  • Establish partnership and engage with internal and external stakeholders, maintain relationships/partnerships with internal/external customers, peers and partners to develop strategies, goals and objectives that are consistent with organization strategy and drive business solutions. The position will be pivotal in creating and maintaining relationships with US-based stakeholders and working closely with those stakeholders in planning and forecasting activities of the team as well as reporting requirements from stakeholders
  • As Scrum Master making sure everyone on the team understands the project’s goals and scope. Helping the product owner maintain the product backlog. Facilitating scrum events (daily standups, other meetings) as needed

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management best practices and processes
  • Proficient in MS Office tool suite and Project Management software tools
  • Knowledge on Agile is an added advantage
  • Prefer Agile Scrum Master, PMP, PgMP or equivalent Project Management certification

Qualification: 

  • Must have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 4+ Years of experience.
