Job Description

Job Purpose

To assist with and design, develop and deliver ATS competence-based training and assessments using innovative instructional style and techniques in accordance with the regulatory requirements in support of ongoing operational requirements and staffing targets.

Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in the design, development, and delivery of competency-based training programs and assessments including simulation training and classroom training

• Adopt innovative instructional methodology and learning strategies for optimal delivery of competence-based training programs and assessments

• Conduct assessments to holistically assess the integrated practical performance of the students and simultaneously evaluate individual performance criteria using the tools provided in the assessment plan

• Collate assessment results and report on the progress against objectives ensuring areas of development and recommended remedial actions are discussed with the students

• Conduct ELP testing as an Operational Expat (OPE) in accordance with ELP Training Organisation Operational Manual

• Consult with respective colleagues on air traffic management course programs for inclusion to aviation radiotelephony training programs

• Develop and maintain air traffic management developmental frameworks to ensure all training needs are effectively addressed

• Support the course development function to ensure the competence-based training program meets the training objectives

• Assist the Training Facility management with the design and delivery of other training programs as required

• Maintain knowledge of the local/international ANSP procedures, practices, legislation, and regulations

• Maintain the ATS Instructor Train the Trainer designated Examiner endorsements current in accordance with State regulatory requirements

• Advise and guide the Training Center management in the conduct and administration of air traffic management training programs as required

• Perform any additional responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time to meet operational requirements across the facility, company, and contracts

• Safety responsibilities and accountabilities of this position are detailed in the Safety Management Manual of the organization. The Job holder is required to maintain awareness and knowledge in relation to their safety responsibilities associated with their job function"

Technical Competencies

Educational Qualification:

• Higher secondary school certificate required. Diploma preferred

Professional Certifications:

• ICAO English Proficiency Level 6

• Must have held/hold ICAO approved ratings in ICAO 054 Area Control Surveillance (ACS) Service, ICAO 052 Aerodrome Control Service (ADC), or ICAO 054 Approach Control Surveillance Service

• Must have held/hold On-the-Job Training Instructor endorsement

• Must have held/hold Training Instructor Course (TIC) 1 and TIC 2, or Train the Trainer Classroom Instructor course or similar endorsements

• ICAO Training Developer Course Certification preferred

Experience:

• 8 years’ operational and training experience in ANS establishment(s)

• 3 years’ training experience at an internationally recognized State regulatory Approved Training Organization preferred

Special Technical Skills:

• IT proficiency including the use of MS Office

• Knowledge of the following required:

• ATS competency-based training and assessment requirements

• ANS regulations

• ICAO SARPs

• Simulation training equipment

• Safety Management

• Legal, Regulatory & Quality Compliance

• License & Certification

• Examination & Assessment

• Training Planning

• Training Design & Delivery
