To complement our growth, we are looking for an Aviation Safety Analyst to join our Safety Department team reporting to the Safety Manager.
The Aviation Safety Analyst can be based at our Malta office or work remotely in the UK.
Your Responsibilities
Classification and analysis of the safety reports collected via the Safety Reporting System;
Investigation of flight safety events writing the related investigation reports including possible recommendations;
Analysis of the data collected with the Flight Data Monitoring Programme;
Identification of the aviation safety issues;
Production of statistics using the most appropriate visualization techniques;
Creation of internal safety promotion publications;
Execution of risk assessments;
Day-to-day Safety Department activities and researches.
For UK-based candidates, there will be regular travel to Malta. This is not a flying position.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Essential
High level of discretion and confidentiality;
Understanding of data analysis;
Ability to engage in discussions and to consider alternative viewpoints;
Knowledge of modern Safety Management principles and practices such as Safety II, System Thinking, Ergonomics;
Attention to detail and well organized;
Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to work, plan and organize autonomously.
Advantageous
Aerospace Bachelor Degree or superior;
Master’s degree in Safety and Human Factor or in Fundamentals of Air Transport System;
Accident/incident investigator qualification;
Knowledge of R and Tableau/Power BI;
Knowledge of Data Science technique;
Commercial Pilot License;
Previous experience in multi-pilot multi-jet engine aircrafts.
