Job Description

To process and disseminate flight plans, provision of pre-flight information services and Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) requests for publication in an efficient manner across all ADAC airports

Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Process and disseminate flight plans for aircraft departing, arriving and transiting Abu Dhabi CTA
• Disseminate ATS messages via AFTN such as delay, ready, departure, change, arrival and cancellation messages
• Ensure flight plans comply syntactically and semantically to ICAO 4444 standards.
• Process NOTAM activities and prepare pre-flight information bulletin when required to support safety of flight operations
• Assist the Senior Briefing Assistant in handling queries and relevant correspondences for timely response
• Report on the functionality status of systems and equipment at the end of each duty shift and at the time of malfunction of systems and interruption of services
• Assist the Senior Briefing assistant in conducting investigation and providing feedback on matters escalated from all stakeholders as required
• Provide on the job training and instruction to new joiners as assigned to ensure they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills
• Support the transition process from AIS to AIM in accordance with the provisions of the ICAO roadmap and GCAA guidelines whilst ensuring compliance at all times
• Perform additional responsibilities related to AIS delegated from time to time to meet operational requirements
• Safety responsibilities and accountabilities of this position are detailed in the Safety Management Manual of the organization. The Job holder is required to maintain awareness and knowledge in relation to their safety responsibilities associated with their job function

Technical Competencies                              

Educational Qualification:

• Higher secondary school in a Science discipline required
• Higher Diploma in Air Traffic Control preferred

Professional Certifications:

• ICAO recognised AIS course (Basic or Advanced) or equivalent
• AutoCAD certification preferred
• AIXM certification preferred

Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role required
• Experience in a supervisory or team leader role preferred
• Regional experience within the UAE/GCC preferred

Special Technical Skills:

• English Language proficiency required. Working knowledge of Arabic preferred
