The Boeing Company is currently seeking a C-17 lead Coordinator to support Boeing Global Services in Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait. This position is part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) C-17 aircraft based at Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait. Applicant will participate in organizational level maintenance activities (e.g. flight line tasks including aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis and component replacement, and structural repair) associated with day-to-day operations of C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet KAF mission requirements.

This position will start in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. This is a Long-Term Assignment to Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait begin in October 2021 and for up to 24 months. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.

Job Description:

As Lead Coordinator you will oversee multiple final scheduled maintenance visit plans and manages a major plan. Leads maintenance debrief and records review. Defines project schedule, approves definition, manages resource requirements and parts availability with supply-chain. Tracks quality metrics and initiates corrective action.

- Serves as the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) shift leader and is responsible for coordination of all aircraft organizational maintenance activities in a fast-paced, dynamic flight line environment and during recurring Home Station Checks.

- Directs, trains, and mentors a group of multi-level mechanics/technicians in the execution of daily aircraft launch, recovery, pre/post-flight, maintenance activities, and servicing tasks.

- Maintains a continuous communication link between touch labor, Field Operations management, Boeing support functions, and KAF flight crews.

- Works with Logistics Data Management function to develop maintenance plans, including prioritizing, scheduling, and reporting of aircraft/maintenance status and accomplishment unscheduled maintenance activities.

- Understands the critical relationship between the flying schedule and airworthiness requirements/availability of parts when allocating manpower resources.

- Utilizes sound judgment and critical thinking to evaluate acceptable quality standards before authorizing exceptional release of the aircraft.

- Liaisons with internal/external customers as the subject matter expert for KAF aircraft condition and operational capability.

- Utilizes knowledge/experience to evaluate issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans that enhance the overall mission capable rate.

- Participates with organizational leaders in the development and implementation of plans and objectives (e.g., long-range strategies, organizational goals, objectives and initiatives).

- Manages, develops, and updates CLS processes/procedures.

- Tracks quality metrics and reports on the health of the organization.

- Works independently with very little direction and must be resilient to a fluid environment with changing customer requirements.

- work under pressure while solving complex technical problems.

- Candidate must demonstrate a well-developed ability to communicate verbally and in written form, be a self-starter, an excellent team player, and results oriented.

- Ability to multi-task, be flexible in daily work activities, and shift priorities without compromising work assigned.

- Candidate must be a responsible leader capable of sustaining performance with a typical high work load, and deliver high quality products on time and within budget.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (REQUIRED)

- 7+ years of C17 Avionics Maintenance experience, either FCC, flight line or HSC work

- Wide-ranging and specialized knowledge of the C-17 Globemaster III aircraft and subsystems, including its associated technical work is required

- Knowledge of import/export regulations is required

- Extensive knowledge of Air Force procedures, processes, technical orders and maintenance information systems (e.g. G081) is a must

- Must be proficient Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications (DESIRED)

- Experience managing C-17 flight line operational maintenance activities in an Air Force environment highly desired.

- Must obtain and maintain a flight line vehicle operator’s license.

- Experience supporting Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program (GISP) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) in a multi-national environment preferred.

Typical Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working hours:

40 hours/5 days per week with two days of rest. The days of weekend rest may vary and will be established and communicated by management in accordance with business schedule.

Relocation:
