Educational Qualifications

  • Fresh Bachelor degree in a related discipline.
  • Or Fresh Two year college Diploma in a related discipline with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • OR Specialised certificate preferably AVSEC / license in the related field with Secondary School and having 06 years of WY / Aviation experience in the related functions

Skills/Knowledge           

  • Proficiency in English and Local language (Reading and Writing) :
  • Proficiency in MS office
  • AVSEC Basic Training (123 STP) and certification by BCAS.
  • AVSEC Management (07 Days) and certification by BCAS
  • AVSEC Auditors/Inspector course (07 Days) and certification by BCAS.
  • AVSEC Contingency planning and crisis management (05 Days) and certification by BCAS .
  • Refresher training of all these courses, every 24 months.

Job Description               

  • Defining the overall security policy acceptance by the aircraft operation security Program (AOSP) consistent with NCASP.
  • Developing and promulgating company wide security standards and practices.
  • Conducting an initial and comprehensive survey of the aircraft operator's equipment and activates in order to determine security needs and assess likely threats.
  • Developing or modifying the aircraft operation security Program (AOSP) to deficiencies and to comply with national requirements and provisions of states where the aircraft operator conducts flight operations.
  • Ensuring that the aircraft operation security Program (AOSP) is current and has endorsed by the aircraft security management and submitted to the director General, BCAS for verification and approval.
  • Ensuring the continuing effectiveness of the aircraft operation security Program (AOSP) through regular evaluations and inspections and by encouraging internal security audit processes.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective liaisons with BCAS, all relevant authorities and stakeholders in order to contribute to the industry development of security system and to comply with statutory requirement, taking into consideration the responsibilities of other appropriate authorities with police functions.
  • Maintaining close relationships with other departments of Oman Air to facilitate the implementation of effective security measures throughout the organization.
  • Advising on and managing all security systems in use by the Oman Air and advising management on all aspects of security.
  • Ensuring an effective response by the Oman Air to any threat or security incident.
  • Initiating special security measures during periods of increased risk and for critical flight and routes.
  • Maintaining familiarity with applicable legislation and regulation related to aviation security in geographic areas by the Oman Air.
  • Maintaining a record of all unauthorized weapons or suspect explosives devices detected on the Oman Air aircraft or property used by Oman Air.
  • Reporting all actual or suspected acts of unlawful interference with Oman Air to the director general, BCAS.
  • Will report to the Security Management at HQ and assist in all assignments related to security of Indian stations.
  • Be over all in-charge for administration and follow up on operational requirements.
  • Will coordinate within the network.
  • Coordinate training and career development in liaison with security management for AVSEC and BCAS requirements.
  • Assist in scheduling audits and checks on the airline security in all airports and the dissemination of the report to Stakeholders.
  • Maintain records of all security staff (India) and update it from time to time.
  • Maintain all records (Training Records, AEP records etc.) of the airline security staff (India).
  • Assist Management with preparation of Security contracts for outstation.
  • Assist Management in preparation of Security Programme (Indian Supplement) & other security related manuals/ documents, updating same on regular basis & keeping a record of OSPs forwarded.
  • Arrange for departmental publication, printing and dissemination to include security brochures and bulletins
  • Coordinate and administrate security staff recruitment of Indian stations in liaison with HQ management.
  • Any other functions Security Management HQ.
