Job Description

The Commercial Analyst is an expert in the field of supply chain management and is expected to work without dedicated guidance. He / She will apply analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex strategic sourcing challenges and delivers the most effective solutions to support corporate sourcing activities. He/she should exercise logical judgement in selecting methods, techniques and other analytical criteria to develop supply chain concepts that optimizes the supply chain and lowers operational cost, The Commercial Analyst develops, examines, analyzes and validates aircraft operational data, material planning data to establish supply chain and sourcing strategies that are aligned with GAL Program objectives.

Will also be responsible for

• Responsible for total cost of ownership in conjunction with the strategic capital sourcing or material management processes.
• Supports company requirements through best negotiated agreements and compliances.
• Participates in the preparation of various agreements encountered in the business, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA’s), Teaming Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding/Agreements, Strategic Alliances and others as the opportunity presents.
• Maintains close coordination with Technical Analysts, performs data analysis and develop strategy to establish effective Supplier support base
• Considers cost effectiveness, quality, risk and utilization compliance.
• Manages contracts and/or projects through the entire life-cycle.
• Partners with workgroups to identify savings opportunities and process improvement.
• Assist with the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other sourcing events
• Evaluate products and services for overall value (including price, quality, key performance indicators, service levels, etc.)
• Provides input to aircraft maintenance planning data and long-term maintenance plans for JAC aircraft.
• Supports the Development of Cost per Flying Hour (CpFh) approaches and strategies to accurately forecast costs and budgets for specific aircraft types.
• Conducts price and cost analysis for supply chain requirements
• Tracks and prepares reports summarizing key fleet and supply chain performance indicators.
• Accurately track material costs against established aircraft CpFh budgets.
• Coordinates and communicate key requirements with aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and other supply chain partners to satisfy operational requirements.
• Interacts with Customer or subcontractors on contractual matters for multiple supply chain agreements
• Supports the development of systems and processes to identify innovative, integrated solutions to enhance and lower the cost of through life support of JAC aircraft.
• Collaborates with other operational entities to ensure contractual obligations are met or exceeded.
• Adheres to all quality and safety standards.

QUALIFICATION

•  -BA or BS in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent amount of experience in managing complex supply chain or contracting activities for major OEMs or Armed Forces logistics.

EXPERIENCE

•  -Minimum of 15 years Aviation supply chain or logistics management experience, military or equivalent civilian experience. (Preferably experience in all three categories).
• -Must have prior management experience in supporting supply chain or logistics programs on military aircraft.
• -Prior experience in managing and supporting CpFh or other military of civil supply Chain programs.
• -Must have demonstrated experience negotiating with major suppliers on supply chain requirements.
