Job Description

We are looking for a Distribution Channel Manager to join the Qatar Airways Cargo Team in Qatar.  
As the Distribution Channel Manager you will oversee and manage the successful integrations with both internal and external platforms using API Technology to introduce systemic effciencies and LEAN processes.

The role is responsible for the management of project development lifecycles related to API integrations. The role also ensures successful delivery of digital initiatives to support commercial stratergy and departmental objectives by allowing third-party and key customer intercations through the use of latest API tools.

• Analyse API performance to assess areas for optimisation and ensure uptime performance and platform stability.
• Execute necessary system configurations based on scenarios tested in order for the API channel to transmit responses as expected by the system implemented logic or algrorithms.
• Perform system and data sanity check to diagnose data-related issues and mitigate risk of API response errors.
• Capture and simulate issues raised by stakeholders and implement timely resolutions to these issues. Conduct product demonstrations to internal and external customers based on system configured specifications to generate feedback and hence facilitate further product enhancement
• Ensure third-party readiness for go-live by employing speed-to-market principles for more revenue generation.
• Manage the API integrations with key customers and partners who will work with Qatar Airways Cargo's external facing APIs using agile or hybrid project management approaches.
• Ensures completion of tasks at each stage of the API product lifecycle from development to testing (functional, security and performance), deployment, iterations/release management, and retirement through appropriate planning.

Key Skills & Behaviours

Essential

• Experience in Cargo / Logistic Operations Management, Digital Transformation in Airline and SupplyChain, Online Product Distribution, MIS, e-Commerce and relevant fields Experience in API management and Host-to-host system integrations
• Experience in strategic Project Management in a business context (technology consulting, systems integration, etc.)
• Experience in digital transformation, Online Product Distribution, e-lnitiatives and project management tools and platform.
• Strong written, verbal communication (presentation to C-level executives and network) and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of computers software: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Tableau, and Project Management

Preferred

• Project Management Certification and Masters in Business Administration or allied fields
• Experience in Cargo Business System, Change Management Continuous Business Improvement, Strategic Project / Program Management
• Experienced in managing and implementing e-lnitiatives Job Specific Skills:
• Experience in global key account digitalization engagements.
• Completed IATA cargo introductory course.
• Tech-savvy and knowledge in application support and development
