Job Description

Leading Import Airfreight operations and pricing at the satellites. Supporting sales with product expertise for business wins

Accountabilities

  • Carrier and Supplier co-ordination for commercials
  • Network / CBC / Gateway interface
  • Customer co-ordination and complaint handling
  • Sales interface
  • Managing Import Airfreight operations at the satellites
  • Operational Compliance and SIP Projects
  • Carrier and customer interaction
  • Adherence to the core carrier programme
  • AFR Quality and Compliance
  • Responsible for addressing all network codes and pricing for sales
  • Handling Spot enquiries
  • Responsible for AFR Operations Quality Excellence.
  • Develop a culture of quality, service excellence (for internal customers), flexibility and cost consciousness.
  • Develop a team spirit and multitasking capabilities within the team.
  • Plan, organise and direct an efficient and effective function.
  • Develop IKOs/KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.
  • Conduct performance appraisal, including coaching
  • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff.
  • Identify training needs and opportunities to develop a highly skilled functional department.

Skills

  • Product knowledge in Operations
  • Knowledge on product pricing
  • Course in Cargo Basic and DGR recommended
  • Knowledge on Customs Procedures
  • Communication skills – written and spoken
