Role and Responsibilities

Job Summary

As a Simulator Support Engineer JV02 the incumbent performs complex assignments on site. Work activities have an important impact on service delivery, cost effectiveness and training qualification renewal. At this level, the incumbent has demonstrated the ability to solve a variety of complex simulator systems problems. Contribute to the team to ensure that all Training devices are maintained as per their qualification standard and in line with ECFT quality guidelines and procedures. In addition to defined job functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties that may be reasonably required for the smooth operation of ECFT Engineering.

 

Responsibilities

  • Performs the role of device care taker and fill in for Fleet supervisor/Shift Leader in their absence. Support other device care takers within shift to fulfill their task as per the stipulated quality standards in coordination with shift leader /Fleet care taker.
  • Follow up on Authorities raised issues and ensure issues are actioned /cleared within time limit set by the authorities. Update authority issues as per the predefined frequency and ECD.
  • Ensure all QTGs reruns are signed off, as well as ensuring reruns of raised deficiencies are followed up to closure in a timely manner. Ensure junior colleagues and trained and mentored to perform their tasks well. Ensure all PMT tasks are carried out according to standards (Maintenance manuals) and signed off. Must ensure PMT raised deficiencies are followed up to closure in a timely manner.
  • Review Simulator Manufacturer FSB and applicability monthly and ensure implementation of the FSB and complete related documentation. Ensure integrity of Simulator procedures, as well as making sure they are kept up to date. Inform team of changes or modifications.
  • Coordinate and Manage monthly (every 28 days) GSD & NDB updates and ensure completion: Keep the navigation database up to date as per local guidelines.
