The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Facilities Project Management Specialist to lead significant and major facilities green-field construction and tenant fit-out projects within the Asia-Pacific region, with primary focus in China.  The role will be based in Shanghai or Bangalore.  The selected candidate, if not already located in Shanghai, must be willing to permanently relocate to Shanghai (for China-based candidates) or accept an assignment in Shanghai (for candidates not based in China).

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional team of internal business partners and external suppliers in the delivery of facilities construction projects, utilizing accepted project management principles and methodology (execution plan development, requirements definition, baseline & change management, risk management, etc…).
  • Lead the development of scenario-based schedule and cost estimates, risk assessments and recommendations in support of business partner initiatives and customer proposals.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Management and other stakeholders to establish supplier, contractor and material procurement strategies and tactics that align with project deliverables

Experience/Qualifications

  • Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience in facilities engineering and/or construction management fields, ideally 10+ years in this area.
  • Significant experience leading “green-field” construction projects in China, from inception (documenting detailed requirements and building a project execution plan) through design, permitting and construction, to commissioning and close-out utilizing accepted project management principles and methodology (PMBOK, PRINCE II, Etc…) 
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team-members, senior leaders and business partners, and external suppliers.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level (China or India) and are not on Boeing US-based payroll.
