Who we are:

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, implementation, integration, and testing of UAV flight control systems through close collaboration with a multiple-talented team.
• Coordinating with the flight controls team and stakeholders to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Plan and execute test procedures and perform VnV tasks
• Oversee the development of SIL, PIL and HIL simulation studies of the UAVs in design.
• Develop techniques to quantify the desired handling qualities for futuristic unmanned aerial vehicles.
• Develop and document system level requirements to support flight control system design for the novel platforms.
• Consistently and proactively work with team members to solve complex design challenges.

Candidate must have the following skill set:

• 6+ years of experience in flight control design and leading the relevant projects.
• Proven experience in leading a UAV control and guidance design project from concept to flight testing.
• Profound knowledge of flight mechanics, control and estimation theories.
• Exposure to MIL standards/requirements on flight control systems.  
• Possesses a sound knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Experience in Embedded programming and Hardware integration is desired
• Control system design (MATLAB or other tools)
• Strong & creative problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Minimum qualifications:

ME/M.Tech./PhD in Aerospace Engineering

Software skills:

Highly proficient in MATLAB / SIMULINK - Should be able to easily translate algorithms to scripts and debug them. Previous simulation experience is a plus.
