Job Description

Prerequisites:

• BE, ME, or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Control Systems Engineering.
• 3-6 years of flight control law design and well versed in Model-Based Design (MBD) processes with an excellent track record of completed projects.
• Foundations in aeronautics, especially flight mechanics, aerodynamics, and flight vehicle structural analysis.
• Experience in computation of stability and control derivatives, updating and validating the flight dynamics model.
• Knowledge of fixed and/or rotary aircraft flying qualities, flight dynamics, piloting control strategies and flight control systems.
• Experience in developing and validating linear and nonlinear mathematical models for air vehicle, subsystem dynamics and 6DOF simulations.
• Experience in correlating and validating flight dynamics models using experimental datasets.
• Knowledge of state estimation algorithms is preferable (EKF, Particle filters, Sigma point KF, Bayesian state estimation etc.)
• Expertise in state space and optimal control theory.
• Expertise in probabilistic estimation theory, nonlinear optimization, and filtering with real world data.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Matlab/Simulink is mandatory.
• Experience in rotorcraft or VTOL performance and handling qualities or prior helicopter platforms is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Airborne hardware and software development assurance processes (RTCA DO-178 & 254)
• Experience with aircraft Flight Control System certification (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25)
