A vacancy has arisen as a Head of KSA Project Controlling:

In the role of Project Controlling, you will be a vital part in the Finance community and the project organization. As a challenging Business Partner, you will contribute substantially to managing the profit & loss of the project. You will gather and provide data to enable educated decision-making on management level and give visibility about performance vs. targets. You will highlight and analyze discrepancies and propose actions to optimize financial and operational performance. To do so, you will collaborate and challenge your business partners from all directorates (e.g. Project Organization, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Sales and other Finance departments). Moreover, you will support key change decisions in the project (business cases, rate adaptation, major modifications etc.). You will as well manage the financial aspects of the project contracts including cash, risk and opportunity management. During bid phases, you will be in charge of all financial aspects in contractual amendments and the acquisition of additional orders while meeting the required profitability targets.

 

Working in Project Controlling requires a robust business understanding, a feeling for numbers and solid social skills to be able to manage your stakeholders in adversity towards the best business decisions for the company. The role is challenging in its complexity and has to be undertaken by somebody who is capable to understand the people, the product and the numbers. You will work with the project team and be embedded in the Finance community. A high level of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, conflict management skills, persistence, and assertiveness are required to master this business partnering role.

List of Responsibilities

  • Estimate at completion (EAC): responsible for the planning and execution of the EAC process in KSA especially for the SIE project (Platinum project). Ensure process adherence and delivery of respective reports on time and quality.
  • Cost Control: ensure a proper follow-up of all project related costs along with a transparent communication towards involved stakeholders. Responsible of yearly calculation for hourly rates.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: involvement into the Airbus Risk & opportunity management process in alignment with Airbus standards and in close collaboration with the Project team and the dedicated R&O manager
  • WBS Maintenance: responsible for creation and maintenance in SAP of WBS elements according to the WBS released by the PMO. Jobholder will open and close the WBS elements in SAP whenever needed. Responsible of the SAP planning creation and modification within the project lifecycle.
  • Planning & Reporting: Internal project reporting and corporate planning (OP/FC) / reporting preparation and presentation to all relevant stakeholders. Detailed analysis of key Project KPIs including FCF and B/S variations.
  • Budgeting Process:
  • Intercompany transactions management: According to the tax optimization program, the candidate will follow and ensure application of the planned cost flow diagram. Intercompany billing and reporting must be smooth and regular.
  • Support local / group audits: Ensures compliance with local and corporate reporting requirements. Support to the quarterly external financial audit process in close alignment with external audit firms (e.g. KPMG)
  • He/She will report to Head of Finance KSA & Services & Program GE
