Job Description


Directs and Supervises the activities of assigned personnel in Technical, Maintenance, Uniform and Stationary stores unit. Including provision of overall supervision over the unit activities and maintenance of stock materials (approximately 22,000 items) for daily activities of Ground Support Equipment. Ensures proper reception and checking of all new items and spares received and the same are correctly coded and stored for easy location. Liaises with foreign suppliers in case of any discrepancies. Ensures that items and spares are properly issued against properly completed stores requisitions.

Main Duties

o Directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel in Technical, Maintenance, Uniform and Stationary Stores Units. Performs supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position.

o Provides over-all supervision over the activities of all stores (approximately 22,000 items).

o Complete store administration and ensure complaince with policies and procedures.

o Ensures proper reception and checking of stores stock items against copies of purchase order and suppliers delivery notes. Ensures that items delivered are in accordance with required specifications. Corresponds by e-mail or fax with suppliers in case of any discrepancies.

o Ensures an up-to-date location references for each item and spare and that the same are kept in their correct places for easy location. Ensures that all stores are always kept neat and tidy.

o Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.

o Plan work, assign tasks appropriately.

o Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

o Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.

o Reviews materials usage, determines minimum economic stock and recording levels based on consumption data and source of supply by Economic Ordering Quantity (EOQ) method. Reviews stock levels to maintain adequate supplies and identify slow moving, surplus and redundant materials. Replenishes stock and non-stock items.

o Ensures proper reception and checking of stores stock items against copies of purchase order and suppliers delivery notes. Ensures that items delivered are in accordance with required specifications.

o Ensures that items and spares are issued against properly completed materials requisition form by subordinates. Checks such forms to ensure that all the necessary information is indicated.

o Liaises by e-mail with foreign suppliers in case of any discrepancies or special items that required overseas repairs. Necessary arrangements to be made through BAS cargo department or other cargo establishment for dispatching the goods.

o Ensures an up-to-date location references for each item and spare are kept in their correct places for easy location. Ensures that all stores are always kept neat and tidy.

o Forecasts the write-off of spare parts for equipment to be replaced or written-off, and advises accounts department of value of anticipated write-offs in conjunction with both GSE & Maintenance departments.

o Monitor inventory levels and order new items.

o Coordinate with Purchasing department to ensure proper stocking.

o Ensures proper filing system of all documents pertaining to good received notes, stores requisitions, etc.

o Ensure cycle counts carried-out periodically for inventories using the Barcode system in order to reduce errors and distribution in operation.

o Plan and execute the year-end inventories as per the company procedures.

o Conduct performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.

o Provide a monthly performance report to Sr. Manager Procurement & Logistics.

o Complying with Company's and airport authorities Health, Safety & Security regulations.

o Carries out other similar or related duties as assigned by department head.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics / Procurement

Experience:

5-7 years’ experience in Logistics of which at least 2 years in supervisory role

Other Essential Requirements:

o Good Knowledge in spoken and written English and Arabic language.

Good knowledge in using P.C.
