Aerodynamics & Mechanical is a part of Vestas Power Solutions, which is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future. Hub Quality department is responsible for solving field failures of structural components.
Responsibilities

• Understanding the failure mode of field failures and define scope for structural analysis
• Perform structural analysis to evaluate possible root causes on components
• Evaluate results, propose, and implement corrective actions accordingly
• Perform and contribute to Root Cause Analyses (i.e. RCAs)
• Provide inputs for Test and Verification activities

Qualifications

• Ph.D / Master's / Bachelor's in Mechanical / Structural / Aerospace / Similar engineering
• 8-12 years of experience in evaluating mechanical / Structural design quality issues
• Experience in design and verification of bolted joints and fasteners, casted and steel plate structures
• Static Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in Ansys & comfortable running fracture mechanical evaluations
• 6 sigma green-belt is good to have
