You will be part of the Standardization & Master Data within Vestas Power Solutions, Quality, Improvements & Processes - Engineering Development - Standardization & Master Data. Standardization & Master Data team is a global team primarily located in Denmark and India. Our department is responsible for guiding, defining and ensuring both short and long-term business targets are being met across platforms, modules, sub-modules and value chains to ensure the highest degree of standardized and modularized products. We are responsible for products like Standardization, RDS, Centralized Parts Creation & Master Data and Design Standards and we deliver values to our customers through digitalization and implementation of engineering tools, methods and processes.

Also, we are responsible for developing and promoting strategy roadmap & projects and centralized governance for standard components, Base & Raw materials, New Parts Creation & Enrichment, Reference Designation Systems (RDS) and Design Standards & External Standards across wind industries to encourage continuous improvement across the value chain.

Responsibilities

  • Standardization Technical coordinate for Mechanical / Electrical Modules and Sub modules
  • Propel and implement strategy within the area of responsibilities & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as standardization coordinate for certain Mechanical or Electrical and Electronics module and sub-modules
  • Define and develop expert knowledge within your area of responsibility and build guidelines and best practices to support Vestas within this field
  • Actively identify opportunities for standardization together with stakeholders from across the value chain to reduce complexity and improve global availability
  • Work in close co-operation with key stakeholders and customers to deliver values through digitalization and implementation of engineering tools, methods and processes
  • Coordinate and supervise projects & improvement initiatives to achieve on time and high quality of key deliverables like Standard Design Catalogue & rules and design library, guidelines and standardization metrics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master's in Mechanical (Preferred) / Electrical / Similar engineering
  • 8-10 years of relevant engineering experience from WTG domain or Engineering industries like Aerospace / Automotive / Energy Sector
  • Good investigative, problem solving and technical administration skills
  • Good Technical Leadership and operational skills
  • Should be focused, innovative and systematic
  • Good project/task management experience
  • Knowledge in automation techniques
  • Basic skills on Tools and process (SAP, PLM and CAD)

Competencies

  • Good knowledge in global Industry standards approvals and practices
  • Experienced in general Mechanical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Good knowledge in product design and product value chain (New product development)
  • Good knowledge in Mechanical or Electrical components design
  • Extensive technical understanding of Mechanical or Electrical and Electronics component specifications (Technical specification / drawings)
  • Good technical understanding of supplier catalogues parts and industry standard parts (off-the-shelf components)
  • Agile Product development experience / Agile Scrum Master experience is added advantage
  • Solid presentation and communication skills in English
  • Hands-on experience in standardization methodology and complete implementation of standardization from other industries (Automotive / industries)
