Job Description

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechatronics/Electronics)
• College diploma in Engineering (Preferably Mechatronics/Electronics) with minimum 2 years of work experience in maintaining flight simulators and/or cabin emergency & evacuation training devices.
• Specialized certificate/ license in the related field with Secondary certificate with 6 years of work experience in maintaining flight simulators and/or cabin emergency & evacuation training devices.

Skills/Knowledge           

• Proficient in English (Spoken and written)
• Proficient in MS Office
• Extensive knowledge in electronic/electrical systems troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge in mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems troubleshooting and maintenance.

Job Description

• Perform Preventative & Curative maintenance on all training equipment as per assigned maintenance schedules and TDM maintenance manuals.
• Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems, those typically solved by properly interpreting maintenance manuals or similar documents.
• Delivers technical guidance, as required to the maintenance team and lower-level technicians
• Ensures that maintenance is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices, regulations and work assignments.
• Capable of interpreting and working with computer systems utilizing various and multiple operating systems.
• Identifies and replaces defective parts in electronic circuits and associated hardware.
• Utilizes drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams to trace circuits and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Maintains required documentation of maintenance activities and corrective actions utilizing the maintenance management database or system.
• Diagnoses malfunctions of computers, associated equipment, and performs operability/readiness tests and repair.
• Performs systems interface/fault isolation.
• Interprets mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic schematics and drawings and creates simplified versions when needed.
• Implements basic modifications to existing simulators and training devices.
• Maintains good relations with customers and ensures adequate and appropriate technical feedback is collected for the improvement of device performance.
• Conducts quality control inspections and ensure maintenance work performed according to existing policies, procedures and OED/TDM maintenance manuals.
• Will be responsible for implementing training plans for lower level Technicians and evaluate their progression.
• Must demonstrate the ability to solve a variety of complex simulator and or aircraft system problems.
• Develop and maintain tools and software required to support maintenance operations as required.
• Performs additional duties within work scope assigned by FTC management.
