Job Description

Responsible for the development of source plans, implementation of procurement strategies and for managing the ensuing commercial/contractual arrangements for a defined portfolio of commodities. To achieve the lowest total cost of purchase/ownership and optimum terms & conditions to meet business requirements and to work in accordance with Emirates strategic procurement process and techniques.

Qualifications & Experience

• Aircraft : 10+ Years
• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) :
• Knowledge/Skills: Business and/or Engineering University graduate e.g.: Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering.
• Airline experience in a technical procurement environment or equivalent engineering environment where the activities performed are similar / related in nature to those performed in the procurement environment. Experience in an Airline, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Maintenance Repairs Overhaul (MRO) organization.
• Previous experience with aviation line/base and engineering maintenance services would be a plus.
• The job holder must have a proven track record of analytical decision-making, contract management, product support terms, with a strong commercial acumen.
• He/she must have strong organizational and negotiation skills.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering equipment and/or Aircraft Systems supply base.
• Comprehensive understanding of airline engineering and maintenance activities Strong aptitude to create, sell in and implement business processes is essential.
• Ability to benchmark on a continuous basis the supply markets. Familiarity with CAA/FAA/JAA regulations would be an asset Specific domain (aircraft) expertise and authority would be a plus. Comprehensive understanding of Aviation Engineering Support services processes. Knowledge of Airline operating costs and Finance Analysis (e.g. NPV) Ability to negotiate complex and financially important agreements with suppliers
