Job Description

Educational Qualifications         

  • Bachelor Degree in any discipline with 08 years of relevant experience handling sales function preferably handling sales in airline industry of which 03 years in a supervisory role.

Master degree in the related field will be advantage.

Skills/Knowledge           

  • Proficiency in English (Reading & Writing)
  • Proficiency in Arabic will be advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • High level of Emotional Quotient
  • Decision making Analytical skills, Negotiation and Decision-making Skills
  • Management skills.

Job Description               

  • Identification of new routes in order to achieve Company’s marketing goals and services level pertaining to the assigned territory.
  • Generating unique sales plans, creating engaging advertisements, emails, and promotional literature, developing pricing strategies, and meeting marketing and sales human resource objectives.
  • The sales and marketing general manager represent the company's brand and drives strategies to increase product awareness by observing the market, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Analyzing budgets, preparing annual budget plans, scheduling expenditures, and ensuring that the sales team meets their quotas and goals.
  • Provide guidance to sales representatives in their assigned duties and monitor om a daily/monthly basis adherence to the plan and budget.
  • Establish a structured multi-channel sales framework across the business operations with a focus on building a high-performance sales culture.
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of competitor knowledge, contemporary practices and market opportunities.
  • Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and professional development to a large team of experienced sales and marketing professionals
  • Prepare the Marketing/Business Plan and to allocate responsibilities for the attainment of marketing goals and services levels
  • Monitor performance of marketing goals and services levels, taking remedy if any shortfalls in consultation with Senior Manager Sales
  • Recommend on passenger fare structure to ensure high yield and to maximise the revenue
  • Liaise closely with the Senior Manager Sales in all aspects of medium- and long-term corporate development
  • Develop general business opportunities including but not limited to corporate houses, hotel industry, tourism companies, media personnel and exhibition organizers to improve the market share
  • Take immediate decisions in liaison with Senior Manager Sales to take care of any situation affecting the load factor/yield
  • Ensure that the Sales Manager’s visit all the travel agents and top corporate clients to ensure maximum distribution and achieve high sales/yield
  • Should always strive to keep the cost of operations under control without compromising on the quality of operations/image of the Airline
  • Improve Oman Air image through effective media advertisements, personal interactions and through any other industry accepted practice in liaison with marketing communication Department.
  • Shall be responsible for compliance with all provisions of the local laws applicable and if necessary to meet government agencies/officials and sort out issues of operational importance.
  • To develop and maintain good relations with Ministry of Transport, Director General of Civil Aviation, Airport Authorities, Security agencies etc
  • Support Regional Cargo Managers for implementation of Cargo sales set strategies to maximize sales, revenue and yield.
  • Provide Regional Cargo managers/HQ Cargo management with local market intelligence and trends.
  • Assist in facilitating requirements of local authorities and corporate standers.
  • Any other assignment as given by the Management.
