Job Description

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the full recruitment life cycle for technical, non-technical, and leadership roles
  • Design and execute short-term and long-term recruitment strategy to source passive candidates for tough-to-fill positions and creatively source for niche roles
  • Strategically plan and own a pipeline of exceptionally qualified candidates and maintain their interest throughout the entire process
  • Build and maintain relationships with top talent
  • Work closely with functional leaders to create hiring roadmaps and gather requirements and maintain continuous and proactive interaction with them throughout the hiring process
  • Continuously put efforts to be up to date about Asteria’s projects and programs such that you are very well aware of the hiring requirements and are in a position to assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitude
  • Develop and distribute effective job descriptions to build a compelling pitch for qualified candidates
  • Create, maintain and effectively use various recruitment channels such as company database, employee referrals, job portals, social media etc. 
  • Build and continuously improve processes to make recruiting more streamlined and efficient
  • Schedule/conduct interviews and ensure timely execution of recruitment process in co-ordination with functional leads/interviewers/SMEs
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports and MIS to the rest of the team and management
  • Mentor other recruiters on the team and help one another to reach team goals
  • Actively promote company’s brand and reputation amongst potential talent pipeline
  • Create/develop/improve employee engagement programs to retain top tier talent within the company


Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.E/B.Tech Preferred), MBA/MSW/PGDHRM (good to have)


Relevant Experience: 8+ years


Desired Characteristics:

  • Proven work experience and track record of technical talent acquisition and management in product development companies
  • Hands on experience in talent life cycle management right from attracting, screening, selecting, offering till on-boarding
  • Proven work experience and expertise in hiring for niche skills in Software/Hardware Engineering/IoT/Data Science etc.
  • Practical understanding of common skill requirements in technical and non-technical fields
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high priority hires at once
  • Deep understanding of successful interview tactics to screen for technical and cultural fit 
  • Broad knowledge of sources for technical and non-technical recruitment at all levels
  • Experience managing communication with candidates from start to finish
  • Hands-on experience and skilled in managing and effectively using different recruitment channels platforms including social media, job portals, company database, employee referrals, agencies, campus recruitment. 
  • Experience in implementing and using Applicant Tracing System (ATS) and HCM software’s effectively is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinker with a go-getter attitude and strong decision-making skills
  • Skilled in using MS-office tools
