Job Description

 Maintenance Control Center Management

  • Ensures that his department undergoes an ongoing self-evaluation process to ensure full compliance with the regulatory requirements as well as the company policy and procedures
  • Follow up AOG cases, providing on-line troubleshooting for any aircraft in base station, during flight and outside stations, in house or out of base AOG aircraft.
  • Follow-up and coordinates with Material Management on AOG materials, exchange & loan parts, or act as AOG desk once needed within the AOG case.
  • Rectification, planning and coordinating with Line Maintenance, Engineering
  • Department, Manufacturer Rep. and Planning regarding any unscheduled maintenance.
  • Provide 24/7 hours technical assistance to Line stations staff.
  • Coordinate and discuss with OCC the daily morning meeting to update aircrafts technical delays status, records and statistics to assure and prove maximum Production Performance/Reliability and to plan the daily schedule depending on the available aircrafts, operation demand and destinations ranges.
  • Manages MEL Extension Request for categories B and C, ferry flight permits, and one time signature authorization approvals. Also submitting accident/ incident and return from flight/taxi reports to FLYNAS Quality Assurance.
  • Manages the aircraft recovery plan.
  • Manages and controls the Maintenance Action Request for recurring/ repeated/ chronic aircraft defects.
  • Exercises direct control on all aircraft maintenance activities by coordinating the actions of the various elements of flynas regarding aircraft assignments, schedule commitments, completion or deferment of maintenance checks and AOG or delay situations.

Policies and Procedures

First contact with the flight crew and OCC in case of any request or technical problems.

  • Control of unscheduled and scheduled maintenance to avoid deferred defects (MELs) out of time limit and initiate maintenance actions for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as required, and assign priorities and completion times.
  • Liaise with OCC, Performance/Reliability and to update technical delay records and statistics.
  • Monitor, maintain and update all MCC programs, maintenance publications, TRAX data base and software applications to assure availability of the required systems.
  • Ensures that all MCC staff is well trained to be able to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitors the maintenance activities and provide data on the repetitive discrepancies and negative maintenance trends.
  • Ensures that the conduct of maintenance of flynas operated fleet is properly implemented.
  • Authorizes the deferment of flight remarks and workload on aircraft as may be required in accordance with the flynas policies and procedures.
  • Decides on such matters as dispatching of aircraft on MEL, grounding of aircraft, aircraft substitution and engine changes.
  • Advises all concerned on the technical condition of aircraft and the corresponding actions to be taken like changing of schedules, rerouting and correct positioning of aircraft to provide guidance to the elements performing such actions.

Reporting and document Control

  • May delegate his duties to any qualified assistant during his absence. However, such delegation does not relieve him of the overall responsibilities.
  • Analyzes all delay records and prepare Avoidable Delays Analysis and reports to reflect shortfalls and weakness areas.
  • Analyzes all delay records to highlight avoidable delays and then to Analyze and report them to start immediate actions to avoid delays and enhance the flight by flight production reliability reflecting shortfalls and weakness areas.
  • Perform progress checks on work assigned to maintain current aircraft status.
  • May perform release to service or certifying function as determined by Chief Inspector.

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

  • 7 - 10 years’ experience in Line or Base Maintenance in an Airline or MRO.
  • Experience in a Supervisory capacity maintaining the same category and class of aircraft operated by flynas.
  • Knowledge on Aviation regulations, company policies and standards.
  • Knowledgeable with the use of aircraft manuals and MEL.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) College graduate
  • A & P or Airman License, and have held these ratings for at least 10 years.
  • Must have a Level 3 training on flynas operated aircraft.
  • GACA A & P License or FAA License or EASA or GACA recognized Airman Certificate.
