About the Role:

A leading global Aerospace OEM is looking for experienced Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to support a variety of aerospace programs from India. This Engineering position will use Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools to define or revise mechanical/structural engineering product definitions. The engineer will verify accuracy of non-technical data, produce design changes to resolve discrepancies in design packages.

Key Responsibilities:

• This position will be responsible to support mechanical design and analysis of wide range of
• Mechanical structures and products. The selected candidate shall work with structural analyst to develop the mechanical designs that will work in defined structural environment, characteristics and performance.
• This position will be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with team members in OEM’s organizations and shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents.
• In this role, the Mechanical designer will work independently with minimum supervision to come up with conceptual and detailed designs based on the requirements.
• This position will participate and support initiatives of OEM India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc.
• This position will be located in OEM India Engineering and Technology Center, Bangalore, India.
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil disciplines.
• 10-14 Years of relevant Work experience.
• Knowledge of structural design, mechanical design, material properties, awareness of Industry standards for structural and mechanical systems design.
• Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A]).
• Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services,or other deliverables.
• Knowledge and experience with engineering design tools (CATIA, ENOVIA, NX, CREO,TeamCenter PDM, etc) for Modeling, Drafting & Model Based Definition is essential.
• Able to work under guidance with positive attitude and highest ethics.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Good knowledge of New Product development process.
• Good understanding of aircraft certification processes and lifecycle.
• Knowledge of stress analysis, structural design & mechanical design.
• Thorough understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools such as ENOVIA or Team Center.
• Able to verify accuracy of technical and non-technical data. Gathers relevant data for root cause analysis and produces changes to resolve the discrepancies in design packages.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with OEM personnel around the world.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Education and experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor, Master) and 10 to 14 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

(e.g. Master+ 8 to 12 years' related work experience etc.)
