Job Description

The Advance MRO Engineer position will functionally report to the Customer Service Centre, CSC in Singapore and Services Engineering, SE headquarters in UK.

The candidate will support the engineering initiatives and projects in providing component and overhaul repair services for Civil Aerospace in the region.

  • Work closely with other RR functions and customers (overhaul bases and component repair business units) to identify and implement new repair development and cost reduction projects. 
  • Lead and manage Integrated Programme Teams (IPT) projects; and meet the project timescales, cost and customer requirements. 
  • Participate in scrap reviews activities and identify cost reduction projects which typically involve new product and repair development, existing repair limit extension and engine maintenance work-scope changes.
  • Establish the working relationships with the repair and technology facilities in region to identify opportunities for cost reduction, new repair processes and technologies.
  • The successful candidate will be trained and assigned as Repair Engineering Competent Author (CA) responsible for the development of technical repair documents to support the engine programs and meet the design and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the overall CSC & Services Engineering strategies in region including the growth of repair capabilities and activities.

Key Experiences and any Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD in Engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience.
  • Technical experience relevant to the Engineering discipline.
  • An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems.
  • Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body appropriate to the region. In the UK - attained / working towards Chartered status is preferred.
