Job Overview

To meet certification requirements of Line maintenance Department and to ensure aircraft maintenance activities within the scope of MOE /CAR 145 are accomplished in accordance with the documented policies and procedures of TATA SIA airlines. Personnel who carry out inspection of aircraft/ components using NDT method should be trained and qualified as per NAS 410/ EN4179/Equivalent standards

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for all work carried out and certified by him on the aircraft under the scope of his authorization privilege and to ensure that all statutory regulations regarding airworthiness of the aircraft and company requirements are met
• Maintaining and improving their knowledge in respect to the aircraft, its systems and equipment, the civil aviation requirement of India and company policy
• The quality of work performed on the aircraft ensuring due diligence is exercised in respect to safety for themselves and others, that all work carried out is appropriately recorded, certified, and cross-referenced as appropriate and that any duplicate inspection performed is time dated
• Ensuring that all interchangeability of components is confirmed through reference to the IPC and / other relevant approved documentation
• Ensuring that he is aware of all company operating procedures and fully understand all quality and technical reporting systems
• Being smart and tidy in appearance so reflecting the company image
• Reporting all tools, equipment, vehicle, ramp and aircraft unserviceability immediately to their designated manager
• Maintain a personal logbook with details of all maintenance activity carried out by the individual
• A.M.E will assist the duty manager for all technical issues as may be required
• Mandatory Occurrence Reporting as per SOP
• Return of Serviceable and unserviceable components back to stores
• AME will assist to shift in charge for all administration issues as may be required
• Ensure discipline and enthuses team spirit understanding amongst his shift
• Any other responsibility assigned by Management

Skills & Attributes

• Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English – speak, read and write
• Must have Level II NDT Training on FPI, MPI, Ultrasonic and Eddy current and qualified as per NAS 410/EN 4179 (Latest revision)/ Equivalent Standard with minimum of six months experience in aviation industry in relevant NDT technique out of which three months must be recent experience
• Must have CAR 66 License or Graduate in any discipline or 3 Years AME training course or BAMEC/BAMEL
• Must have no physical disability and meet the vision requirements of NAS410/EN4179 (Latest revision) standard

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of certification experience as an NDT engineer

Qualification

• Must hold an AME diploma or equivalent certificate or a DGCA license rated on A320.
• Authorization for Code VTI-5.2a.CAR 66 License or Diploma in Engineering or Degree in Engineering or 3 Years AME training course  or BAMEC/BAMEL. Level II NDT Training as per NAS 410/ EN4179
