Job Description

The Network & security engineer SalamAir network and infrastructure by troubleshooting issues, monitoring potential threats, and providing secure infrastructure to users. Required to direct the actions of other IT professionals working as a team to promote the digital security of the SalamAir networking systems. In order to stay relevant, the Network & security engineer will need to be constantly up to date on the latest computing trends and security programs to maximize the ability to protect the SalamAir network & Data.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analysing networks for potential security threats and developing protocols to deal with viruses and possible threats.
  
  
• Protects computer assets by developing the best security tools and strategies.
  
  
• Create and maintain the register of security incidents and provide accurate management reporting on IT Security performance.
  
  
• Frequently deploy security sessions, awareness for SalamAir employee.
  
  
• Assist in creating and maintaining formal knowledge documentation for the infrastructure department ensuring that all content is consistent, current and accurate.
  
  
• Managing SalamAir enterprise grade routers, switches, firewalls, DMZ network and servers.
  
  
• Maintain disaster recovery plan for primary services.
  
  
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP systems and IP Protocols.
  
  
• Perform any other related tasks assigned by the line manager.
  
  
• 124/7 on-call support rotations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.
  
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology with hands on experience in network and Security.
  
  
• Knowledge in Information Security Policies, Network Security and ITIL methodology.
  
  
• Advanced knowledge on full managing firewalls such as Cisco, Sophos, Fortinet, PBX and IVR routing schemes, and encryption concepts.
  
  
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, Exchange Online, OneDrive for Business and Microsoft Teams Rooms.
