Job Description

Currently we are looking for an Ocean Freight Operations & Customer Service Specialist who will be responsible to handle day-to-day shipments & operational activities of Ocean Freight in a most efficient, smooth and productive manner to meet KPIs, service deliverables & customer expectation.

Your task will be:

• Create and/or confirm transport orders, perform and optimize bookings
• Identify performance issues of suppliers, and propose solutions to improve performance
• Update Customer shipment information and physical status, resolve customer issues and incidents
• Provide complete and accurate information to customers in a timely manner.
• Ensure that details in the documents are complete, accurate and released on time.
• Establish professional relationship with customers to ensure repeat business and long-term partnership.
• Coordinate with vendors on the activities related to execute the shipments within the required timelines
• May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices
• Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own function
• Build relationships and understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns
• Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships

Your profile should look like:

• Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience/Qualification
• More than 2 years’ experience in the field
• Strong Communication; Fluent in English – Spoken and Written and Problem solving skill
• Preferably 2-3 years of import & export operational experience at freight forwarding company or shipping line.
• Strong understanding of ocean import & export regulations and documents
• Clear understanding of Excel, Word, PowerPoint , CW1 experience is an advantage
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to build effective, long term relationships with clients
• High level of attention to detail
