Job Description


Your role is to support in managing Scoot’s payment platforms and maintain their full working capacity.

You must have an understanding of payment acceptance processes, specifically the technology, gateways and acquisitions, as well as the current and relevant payment regulations.

You should be familiar with the latest payment innovations and will play a part in the evaluation of existing and new payment methods and solutions for Scoot’s e-commerce channels.

You will also work closely with other Scoot Teams in resolving payment-related issues, as well as implementing quality projects within schedule.

Job Description

Payment Issue Resolution and Support

  • Be familiar with the Scoot’s existing payment acceptance processes and functionalities and manage relevant platforms assigned to ensure that they are running smoothly.
  • Provide support when issues arise and be able to come up with resolutions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders so that issues are addressed and resolved on schedule.
  • Assess and clearly convey the issues and tasks to the relevant stakeholders.

Payments Project Delivery and Assistance

  • Coordinate and facilitate requirements gathering for new payment initiatives and/or implementations from all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the internal (Revenue Accounting, Distribution, IT teams, etc.) and external (Payment Solution Partners) stakeholders in planning and executing activities for the assigned payment projects.
  • Ensure project deliverables and work items are executed with quality and on schedule
  • Act on the day-to-day, Business-As-Usual work items managed by the team. 

Identification of Payment Process Gaps

  • Review process gaps and pinpoint issues. Coordinate with the supervisor or the team, provide inputs and propose changes to fix the identified issues. 
  • Progressively, be able to identify bottlenecks related to Scoot’s payment processes.
  • Proactively act or follow up on outstanding work items to expedite implementations of payment process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Degree in the field of Business Management/Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
  • 3-4 years experience in an Ecommerce industry
  • Knowledge in any forms of payments for e-commerce (cards and alternative payment methods)
  • Having proficient knowledge of any payment service provider (PSP) or payment API's would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with payments and digital or mobile technology trends and development
  • Proficiency in project management, business analysis and user testing management

Essential skillsets and knowledge required for the role (I.e., System knowledge/expertise, technical or professional skills)
E.g. Analytical Skills, Customer Management, Customer Service, Project Coordination etc
