Responsibilities

• To maintain an effective and efficient control system for Schedule Planning to ensure tasks are scheduled for maintenance in accordance with aircraft manufacturers and CAAM requirements.
• The key duty is to drive continuous improvement by Identifying gaps in key performance areas and plan activities to increase overall efficiency. Provide input to the team members to facilitate project execution strategy.
• Analyses expenses and identify opportunities to save cost. Ensure complex maintenance activities are handled on time and within the budget by overseeing the Planning Department with respect to cost control and team leadership.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of all staff within Schedule Planning section to ensure AirAsia aircraft and components are scheduled for maintenance as per requirement.
• Implement and maintain an efficient Planning system that meets AirAsia and CAAM requirement.
• Provide adequate instructions and guidance to Schedule Planning staff on the matters pertaining to airworthiness matters.
• Review and monitor Aircraft Check Management

1. Forecast / plan – short, mid and long-term maintenance.
2. Review (compile) / verify – check packages, pre-loads, maintenance requirements, special inspections, modifications or any out of phase work.

iii. Liaise – with logistic for pre-loads, appointed Part 145 on maintenance checks.

1. Monitor – check package during maintenance checks, ensure that all documents pertaining to the check package are accounted for, and appropriately certified.

• AD’s/SB’s requirement – review and monitor for embodiment of related Engineering Instruction issued by Technical Services.
• Flight hours and cycle management.
• To attend crucial meetings such as; EO, DASR, OCC update meeting and provide currency status to the team members and to other stakeholders.
• To work closely with Schedule PlanningPlanning team members on their daily workload; monitor and assist accordingly in their overall communications as to successfully completing their role.
• Conducts work scopes, work packages preparation, resources requirements and pre-loads for line and base maintenance.
• Produces short, mid and long-term maintenance forecast for the aircraft fleet, engines, components and associated equipment produced by subcontracted Asia Digital Engineering - Engineering 10. Support Services Planning (ADE-ESS Planning) and ensures that maintenance is carried out in a timely manner.

Other Major Duties

• Ensure that the aircraft data received are of latest information.
• Coordinate with contracted Part 145 Organisation – select, review, and prepare maintenance checks inputs.
• Coordinate with appointed Part 145 for aircraft maintenance ground time and the related departments for other requirements such as:
  • Route Revenue – aircraft allocation
  • Operations Control Centre (OCC) – Ferry flight, etc.
• Check and ensure working documents are kept in an organised manner and up to date.
• Monitor, control and coordinate to ensure that all fleet activity, maintenance check and component or task are scheduled and called out accordingly into AMOS.
• Perform cross verification in the relevant work area as and when requested by the Planning Manager.
• Review and verify all Engineering Instruction related to Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Airworthiness Notices (AN) are scheduled and accomplished.
• Carry out the scheduling and staggering of aircraft check and component tasks in AMOS or other platform such as google sheet for easy reference.
• Monitor aircraft hours and cycles.
• Ensure on time production of reports and statistics of aircraft check and component for management review.
• Maintain an efficient filling system for all documents pertaining to maintenance of aircraft and component for accomplishment of task.
• Ensure cleanliness and good housekeeping of Planning workstation.
• Ensure Part 145 Organisation produces a complete and signed maintenance release that certifies all maintenance work performed has been completed satisfactorily and in accordance with the approve date and procedure. The document shall include the following;

1. Basic details of the maintenance performed;
2. A reference of the approved date used and, if required, the revision status;

iii. The date maintenance was completed;

1. When applicable, identity of the approved Part 145 Organisation;
2. Identity of the person(s) that sign the release.

• To assist the management as and when required.
